Dr Robyn Cooley

Dr Cooley provides psychological assessment and therapy to individuals across the life span. She is trained in multiple models of psychotherapy, allowing for integrative and evidence-based support that suits you. Robyn also provides autism assessments for children and adults. She provides teaching for psychologists in training and works with a variety of organisations to deliver corporate wellbeing workshops.

Dr Sam Cooley

Dr Cooley sees children and adults for autism and ADHD assessments and one-to-one therapy. He is expertly placed to provide psychological therapy for anxiety, burnout, trauma, neurodivergence, physical health, sport, and exercise. He uses a person-centred approach, informed by acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and compassion focussed therapy (CFT). Sam is passionate about research and regularly publishes journal articles and presents at conferences. He is an honorary lecturer in clinical psychology and has a particular interest in mindfulness and ecotherapy.

Louise Smith

Practice Manager

Louise leads the day-to-day running of The Cooley Practice. She oversees the administrative side of the practice and maintains client relations. Louise is on hand to schedule appointments and help with any queries you have. She is highly experienced in customer relations and is passionate about making sure you get the right service.

Dr Barnes works across the age range and is passionate about supporting children and young people to recognise their strengths and fulfil their potential. She offers specialist psychological & neurodevelopmental assessment (e.g., autism and ADHD) and integrative therapeutic support.

Dr Victoria Barratt

Vicki has been a Clinical Psychologist for twenty years, working in a variety of specialist children's settings, both in the NHS and in New Zealand. Her specialisms include children and young people with significant attachment difficulties, developmental trauma and neurodevelopmental differences. She has an interest in young people who become involved with the criminal justice system and those who demonstrate harmful sexual behaviours. Vicki has also been facilitating reflective practice to teams and providing clinical supervision to colleagues for many years.

Dr Felicity Gileby

Dr Felicity Gileby is a principal clinical psychologist. For over 10 years, she has been delivering specialist psychological assessment, formulation, intervention, and consultation to people across the lifespan, both at an individual, family and wider systems level. She has worked across a variety of settings, including the NHS, Social Care, Education, Youth Offending Services and the private sector. Felicity has a specialist interest in attachment and trauma across the lifespan, and has completed further training in DDP, EMDR, CFT and short term psychodynamic therapies.

Vicky has specialist expertise in trauma and autism. As an associate of Cooley Psychology, Vicky supports our assessment pathway for autism in our Warwickshire Clinic. Vicky has worked in NHS services such as a CAMHS Neurodevelopmental (diagnostic) Team, Community Learning Disability Teams and a specialist NHS crisis team for autistic children and young adults. Vicky now works independently in private practice, providing specialist psychological assessment and therapy.

Dr Nermin Murat is a principal clinical psychologist bringing her 20 years’ experience working in mental health services to reduce distress and support clients and organisations to reach their personalised goals. She’s trained in several evidence-based models and works with the Cooley Practice to offer EMDR therapy.

Jenny offers specialist support for general weight management and diets associated with various physical health conditions, such as gastrointestinal disease, diabetes, and cancer. Jenny understands the impact diet can have on our mental health and the deep emotional connection that often underpins our eating behaviour. Jenny has the skills to guide you through the myriad of information in the media, to ensure you are consuming food that best serves you, now and into the future.

Michael is a registered dietitian with over 10 years of experience as a clinician and researcher in the NHS health service. Michael is passionate about supporting individuals in achieving their health goals through personalised and effective guidance in nutrition and behaviour change, with a focus on metabolic health such as diabetes, polycystic ovary syndrome and obesity management.

Habibah works with a variety of difficulties such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, stress, anger, panic attacks, phobias, PTSD and social anxiety. Habibah has particular expertise in anxiety disorders, specifically Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Generalised Anxiety Disorder (also known as worry) and health anxiety.

Becky is a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist and Attention Autism Advanced Practitioner. She supports children with a range of communication difficulties and is particularly passionate about working with autism. Becky is trained in administering ADOS-informed autism assessments.

Shelley is a Speech and Language Therapist who has worked in both the private sector and NHS across a variety of settings since 2007. She specialises in working with autistic children and young people with associated difficulties with language and communication. As an associate of The Cooley Practice, Shelley supports our assessment pathway for autism in our Warwickshire Clinic. Shelley completed her Masters in Special Education: Autism (Children) in 2015 from the University of Birmingham.

Jaya is a speech and language therapist with over 10 years of experience working with individuals with speech, language, and communication needs. Charley’s Master’s degree from the University of York specialised in neurodevelopmental disorders. She has a research interest in sex differences in autism, masking, and the biases within diagnostic tools used for autism diagnosis. At The Cooley Practice, Charley is involved in autism assessment, individual therapy, psychoeducational groups, research, and service development.

Emily Locker

Emily is involved in autism assessments, research, and service development at The Cooley Practice. Her Master’s degree from the University of Warwick focused on supporting people across the age range who have neurodevelopmental differences and/or struggle with their mental health. Emily has a particular interest in masking, and differences in sensory processing in autism.

Megan has a Master’s degree from the University of Warwick that specialised in various aspects of Clinical Psychology, including a focus on mental health and neurodevelopmental conditions. She has a particular interest in anxiety presentations and masking in autism. At the Cooley Practice, Megan is involved in autism assessments, research, and service development.

Hamilton’s Honour has partnered with The Cooley Practice to provide integrated support for the mind and body, such as through our revolutionary Holistic health programme.
